Post a measured floor plan, pictures, and what your idea of a “limited budget” might be. Is that a 25K refresher or a 70K overhaul?

Green designs- for some $25k wouldn’t be a refresher. Thats ALOT of money! Different folks, areas, household incomes and such dictate each budget. Also some things can be done a lot cheaper. Money saved by doing it yourself can be put elsewhere. An example we were quoted $4,000 for just a new vanity in our bathroom because it was a strange size. We researched and ended up making our own. For the vanity, plumbing, 2 vessel sinks, countertop, facets, 2 new mirrors, all new lighting, paint and such we were under $1K

Presumably those with reading comprehension understand that those numbers are average costs using professionals for the work. Of course builder grade kitchens can be done. Of course people can chop down their own walnut trees and age the lumber for 3 years while setting up a woodworking shop in their barn with 15K worth of tools and then make their own cabinets. But most people aren’t going to do that, and aim their want list at the high end Houzz looks that they don’t realize are 300K kitchens.
