Did you try googling pictures of the colors you like? Its not the best, but from what im reading, everything, including the color of your house affects the color.

Check out https://www.troublefreepool.com/forums/ - there are lots of posts on PebbleTech. There appear to be more issues with the darker colors blotching and mottling that with the lighter colors.

Ask your pool builder to show you previous jobs with various plaster finishes. The catalogs and the web photos are not really a great representation.

Seeing it in person is the best. Sun and shade can create different casts. Perhaps the builder has a previous job that has the same exposure as your property.

I agree that seeing pools in person is the way to go. I didn’t do this but I wish I had. (I don’t think it would have changed my mind on what I got … I just wouldn’t have gone back and forth as much.) I have Stonescapes mini pebble and love it. So I can’t totally help you. That being said, I would NOT go with a dark color with young grandkids.
