It was so great! We were in Sangita/Sabi Sands 3 nights, Qorokwe in Botswana 3 nights, and Vumbura Plains in Botswana 3 nights. Finally, 3 nights in Cape Town. Game drives every morning and afternoon, great guides, amazing food and service. Saw more animals than I ever imagined we’d see. These are a few pics just from my iPhone.

Here you can see how close we got to animals. They just didn’t care that we were there.

    Wonderful pictures!

Our friends had a coffee table book made of all their safari pictures. Just an idea.

Great photos! Mixbook has a nice quality book with thick pages. I made DD1's wedding book on the website.

Very nice! My brother and SIL are going in Sept. I don’t know their itinerary but will see where they end up.

Super pics! Sounds like it was definitely a trip to remember!

The face of the leopard - wow, I think I would frame that one.

There are birds on the giraffe! Why are there birds sitting on the giraffe? Actually, that I can google. :)

    Amazing pictures.

Beautiful! I was in Okavango Delta, Chobe, and Victoria Falls two years ago. Absolutely loved it. If anybody is interested, I can recommend a local travel agent, who managed to get us an amazing deal.

So gorgeous !!!! What an amazing trip. I am lol-ing at the expression on the orangutan’s (?) face! She looks utterly bored with you. :)

WOW! Gorgeous photos. When were you there and did you make all your travel arrangements yourself? Those are some of the places I want to visit.

Did you take any of your children?

nosoccermom, I’m interested in your travel info, too.

We used Piper & Heath to plan our trip. HIGHLY recommend them. We did not have one glitch in our entire trip.

We brought 2 of our 3 kids. Oldest (27) had job issues. The trip was partly to celebrate youngest DD’s high school graduation. We went end of June/early July. IMO best time to go, not that I have anything to compare it to. No heat and no bugs!

We will definitely be framing some photos!

The birds tag along on all the big animals! Well, not the cats. Here‘s a bird sitting on a hippo.

    Young giraffe.

We went to an ostrich farm near Cape Town. Weird to see animals at a “farm” after safari, but I loved these guys.

    Traffic jam!

    And these wild animals

I have a hard time uploading some photos, not sure why but that’s a few more for you!

    More DH pics.

    Loved the baby elephants!

    Hyenas.

I ended up falling in love with warthogs. They were so funny.

I’ve never really aspired to go on an African safari but seeing all your photos of the animals is making me rethink that. Thanks for sharing.

    Wow! Just amazing pictures!!!

Your photos are magnificent! Thanks for the eye candy.

I'm with 3katz in that a safari has never been a desire of ours either, but I've never heard anything but rave reviews from those who have gone. Your pix are beautiful! Esp. love the hyena pic.

Oh my goodness! I’m falling for every single one of those critters! I love the “triplets”!

Thanks all! we talked about a safari for years...I was hesitant at first for a variety of reasons. But I am SO glad we went. Really, everyone should do it!

I, too, was a skeptic but definitely agree. For me, it wasn't just the animals but also the people we met and incredible landscape, the vastness and the night sky.

    @ Delilah66

What would you like to know? The trip was customized with every transfer, bush flight etc included. Everything worked without a hitch. Prices were so low that I (half) joked that worst case we might have to find a youth hostel at arrival in Maun, Botswana.

I actually did confirm with the hotel in Victoria Falls that they did indeed have our reservation and knew the travel agent.

I just noticed that the travel agency/organizer now also have some reviews on tripadvisor: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g317055-d15244881-Reviews-or10-Savanna_Safaris_and_Tours-Maun_Ngamiland_East_North_West_District.html

    Their website: https://budgetsafaris.co.bw/

We stayed in camps/hotels that are not listed on their website:

4 nights in Okavango Delta in two of the Kwando camps (full board and activities): Videos at https://www.kwando.co.bw You fly in with a bush plane after they chase the elephants off the landing strip. We had our own guide and tracker with just the two of us. The All off road. Two game drives per day, including at night; water activities, etc. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. The videos are actually exactly as in real life.

2 nights Chobe Safari Lodge (with half board, 3 safaris included).

2 nights Victoria Falls Hotel (breakfast and one dinner).

The travel agent had suggested to do Victoria Falls, Chobe, Okavango Delta in that order because Okavango is hard to surpass. I totally agree.

nosoccermom, did you swim in the Devil's Pool at Victoria Falls?

Oh these photos make me want to book a trip now! Thank you for sharing!

" nosoccermom, did you swim in the Devil's Pool at Victoria Falls? ".

No way. I'm scared of heights. Just walking along the trail was plenty of excitement for me. Also, it's only accessible form the Zambian side. We were on the Zimbabwean side.
