I can see you've embarked on a great new adventure ... Enjoy! We've all started exactly the same. Your babies look great. All adeniums will develop at different rates ... It's a matter of genetics. Where are you located? Do you have a grow light setup? We're heading into fall and seedlings need to stay in 82 F or so degree temps ... They do not have the reserve to enter dormancy.

The one with no leaves may not make it. I've had some like that as a result of manually removing the seed casing. There is a membrane that sometimes causes the casing to stay stuck to the cotyledon leaves. They should never be forced or the leaves will tear off, basically tearing the seedling's head off. The ones I had held on for months, only to eventually die. Without leaves, they cannot make photosynthesis. I no longer remove them ... I allow them to fall off on their own, no matter how tempting.

It normal for different seedlings to grow at different rates. The pink varieties usually grow the fastest and the dark ones slower. Like the previous person stated is genetics but you need to look at nutrients too. Micro nutrients are very important when establishing adeniums. Adeniumrose Company states to add nutrients (Dyan_Gro products) at 3 months for most seedlings. Remember each time you water some of the original nutrients in the soil is washed away and so used up by the plant.

Great point ... I use nutrients beginning at age 1 month. Feedings are weekly at 1/4 strength when they are young. Older plants (age 3+) are fed 2x a month at 1/2 strength, weekly when in bloom or seed.
