Rebloomers with Multiples today

Some of the rebloomers had nice multiple blooms today.


Pink Lemonade Party serves four. It's not quite as vibrant after yeserday's heat index of 113, but a lovely pink nonetheless.


Cinderella Blue with a trio


Dearest Valentine also had three rebloom flowers today.


Skater with a duet


White Tooth with a pair - The bloom is similar to Skater, except smaller. Skater's blooms today were almost 9 inches. White Tooth's were in the six inch range here. (Skater registered at 8, White Tooth at 7). White Tooth is the superior parent, as you can see. I've crossed both with The Thing that Ate the Seedling Bed.


The hot colors bed on the side of the house received no supplemental water and bloomed much later and shorter than other beds. Carolicolossal is still blooming on original scapes.


Spellbinder, in the same bed, is also blooming later.

    It will be interesting to see what you get from Skater and White Tooth, both are lovely. Dearest Valentine is still looking great! I love the color on Cinderella Blue and Pink Lemonade Party is a great Pink, I loved true pink daylily and don’t have enough right now. More editing for me to do : )

    I always love the color on Pink Lemonade Party. So pretty!! And Cinderella Blue also has a pretty color. Hard to think about season being over except for rebloom. Although with this heat it would be hard to enjoy them!!

    Sherry - I have some seedlings started from my Skater and White Tooth crosses. It will be fun to see them in the future.


    Jen and Kate - Cinderella Blue does have pretty colors, and I'm pretty impressed that it is reblooming so well this year.


    Kate - It's hard to see so many beds with not much blooming. But I'm ready to start moving, redoing and getting seedlings planted. It starts with digging out dud seedlings next week when the weather breaks.

    I wouldn't have guessed that Skater and White Tooth are different daylilies. To me, they look exactly alike from the photos. Pink Lemonade Party looks so pretty.

    Dearest Valentine is so symmetrically spaced. You have some big clumps of it.

    Mantis - I have several small clumps of Dearest Valentine planted closely together in my cirlcle garden. Those three blooms are on instant rebloom scapes. There are some regular rebloom scapes emerging now.

    Fav's from this batch are Skater ( hadn't heard of it ) Would love to grow here but it is a Hansen . Don't have much luck with his plants. I have had probably at least 1/2 dozen , none of which are here now . They just don't survive . I am guessing due to lack of snow cover in winter . The second fave is White Tooth and third ( and these are not in any kind of order ) is your Dearest Valentine .

    Nice yellows! Yeah White Tooth and Scater do look similar but both so pretty. And my favorite are the pinks, Dearest Valentine and Pink Lemonade Party!

    White Tooth is gorgeous! But they all are. :) Rebloom - wonder if I'll see that; still waiting for a lot of first bloom - lol
