The Velvet Mesquite Tree in front of the house I am renting is dropping fresh green leaves by the thousands and small twiggy branches fall right off, full of leaves without any wind, there isn't any sap or bugs on the tree. The tree was horribly over trimmed before I moved in, I suspect that played a part, anyway the tree is 95% bare compared to healthy Mesquite Trees in the neighborhood, I tried deep watering the tree but nothing has changed in the past 5 months. There is one other Mesquite Tree down the street. that is completely dead.
