Congratulations! Your large Hahnii looks unblemished and very healthy. How many plants are in that pot? That 'Streaker'? The more I look at those the more I know that I won't pass it up if I manage to see one at a store.

Shana, there are 4 plants in the pot. I bought it locally. Lucille Polan and streaker I purchased eBay. I put a link for the streaker in my hahnii swirls thread but they are sold out now.

Those are very pretty. I have reasonably good luck with tall and sturdy Sans, but I admit -- I am a failure with Hahnii. I have just one now, a marginata, that is hanging on and looking good. But overall, I find Hahnii difficult to grow for me personally -- so I am impressed with your healthy new plants. Wish you good luck in growing them.

Wow, a 'streaker'. Got one hanging on. Used to have 4 pot fulls. Love them. Got to snatch them up when the opportunity shows itself. Just like the great offer I got on those Gold Hahnii with a Solid Gold pup. Heading back there next month and seeing what they might have again.

Hirts Greenhosue sells (or used to) whitney. They are on Ebay as well. I used to purchased right from their web site. They send me the wrong plant once and never responded back to me so I quit them now. Every one else seems to do okay with them. Must be me.

Way way back I ordered a Gold Hahnii and they sent me a Hahnii marginated. Similar but not the same thing. It was very well grown and healthy but the wrong one. I replied twice to them with no response.

Thanks Chris, The one you gave me is still alive but on it's last leg. Hopping it recovers. Still alive but though for $12 got a nice start. It is in full peat but it has a very good root system. Leaving it in that mix.

That vendor sold almost 200 of them, wow! I purchased one last year as well. Doing very good for me and has a tiny pup that just showed it's head. Thanks Nancy for the tip.

Lost my hahnii Silver Frost a few years back and still haven't found one.

Stush, my Silver Frost has one pup and one up and coming. They should be ready around next Mayish or earlier. I have no doubt Silver Frost will be making more. I really like this plant. It just seems like it's coming into its productive maturity.

I am starting to get a little stir/isolation crazy. It's so hot we can't get out now. Another plant is going to be something to fuss over to carry me over a little while, at least.

How much should we expect Hahnii to grow or how fast? This Silver Frost always seems to be producing a new leaf, with a bun in the oven. It is just steady. Hahnii marginated seems to go on hold for months that are not November to January, then it's in a hurry. Same with Jade and the Gilt Edge Hahnii Jade marginated seems to be a slow steady till now, but the pup is in a hurry to get big. The Walmart Golden Hahnii is a beast since outside. The regular Hahnii wants to spurt when it's warm.

I like all their different personalities. I am going to like Streaker, Nancy, that plant is so pretty.

Though you would like to see how big your hahnii Siebert got. It's over 8 inches high and have no sign of stopping.

Any idea of what seedling or weed that is growing in the pot. I'm always getting strange new plants that way. Some are rare.

My other hahnii Silver Marginated is almost as big and still going strong.

Hahnii Streaker arrived today. I expect some shelf wear and perhaps some damage from the trauma of being placed in a paper bag with a rubber band around it. I am taking a little issue with the lesion on the leaf and the presence of spores on the dead leaf to the side. I listerined the heck out of it. When it dries, it will get a mist of Listerine and some Sulfur dust.

I was not expecting pot and all!! It's soaked to the gills, but it's high temps and high humidity today, so its in the shade to dry.

This is a very small plant with a pup in a 3 -3.25 pot. The pup was sure a suprise. Are these Streaker small than some other Hahniis? In the past I've seen your pictures of Streaker looking gorgeous and wanted one a couple of years ago. I'm charmed, but that looks like Colletotrichum or some other C-something nasty that could turn into dread anthracnose.

Shana Lee, Doesn't look good to me. Don't over do it with the listerine. Could do more damage. Let it dry out extremely well. Who did you buy from, Ebay or nursery. I would even go so far to depot it to speed drying. Don't break the dirt off the roots, that would shock it and it needs all the help it could get. Start to give some morning sun to help healing. No hot afternoon sun.

Most of the time I got more than dirt under my nails. Grease, dirt, paint the list goes on.

You should send those pictures to the seller and complain. I don't understand why it would be watered before they sent it, in the description it says you'll receive a "Premium snake plant in a 4 inch pot" and to "water sparingly".

Mine hasn't done anything until just recently. I don't know about the size of it.

I thought it looked a little "Silver Frost', but tiny. It ran through my head that may the next leaves would be different. I can't figure a plant that tiny having a pup already.

I bought this on eBay, from houseplantshop. I have seen the plants that others here have ordered. I win the houseplantshop ugly plant contest, maybe?!

What really bothers me is the diseased tissue. I had problems here with Colletotrichum and anthracnose and I have a lot of anxiety about them.

The seller has been emailed, I have offered to send the plant back, but I would rather not touch it too much or fuss with it to do that. I do not want spores on my clothes, hands or hair. I have asked for refund or replacement, a Streaker this time. I'm not sure I want a replacement if it comes from the same location, though.

I have purchased from Houseplantshop before and was happy with them. Some one there needs educated about succulents. They do know better but only as good as your help. They should respect your wishes. Inform them you post on a garden site and several there knows them. keep us informed.

I would not throw it away but keep it away from all your stock. Who knows. might recover.

Just remembered about a mite that attacks Sans. A little 'Sevin' helps with it. I used it to kill Aloe mite which everyone said it can't but it did. You could add a spoon full in with with mouthwash spray with a little baking soda. Wide range protection that way.

I really like that idea, Stush. I also have the Bayer that I got for some other plants. I guess I could make a little solution with it and dip the plant since it's depotted.

Like your idea better. Less exposure for the human. There's no way that I can verbally epress my aversion to this disease.

This tiny little thing has 2 pups. My other Silver Frost is huge by comparison, And just sending out two pups. I'm quite with slow, but I wonder: What they heck are they feeding these plants?!

Since using Alfalfa in my potting mix. I see great growth in plant and producing pups. I use a little super phosphate as well in the mix. Mostly a peaty mix for my sans now and I feed them compost tea made from a product called 'Stump Tea'. Plants are doing better this year then ever. No losses from the winter.

I purchased some Silver Sol for health reason to help with sore throat and runny nose and it helps but also great on plants. A little expensive for it, but goes a long way. Kills fungus and rot. I never had to use it but read about it. Could make your own for plants by using two silver coins and a 9 volt battery. Use jumper cables (small ones for electrical) attached to the coils and then the battery. Set in a glass of water and wait till the water turns a little cloudy. Of course don't let the coils touch each other or you short out the battery. Then spray the plants with it. Never did it but was told about it. Two silver coils should make up millions of gallons due to it uses so little silver.

Also noted that the use of LED shop lights purchased cheap and cheap to use cut my electrical lighting cost in half from fluorescents.

I have to get LED this year. I want to light more shelves and have more space for Sans and starts to overwinter. The growth of these Hahnii slows, but they don't stop.

We are having Sahara dust here. It is so hazy and my eyes are gritty and dry. African plants getting a layer of dust from Africa. I think the rain we were supposed to get was interfered with by the dust. It sure makes the throat dry and tickly.

That little Silver Frost dried nicely, but I noticed 2 more sores under one already damaged leaf. Time for a coring and a sulfur paste application to the areas. It is very dry here, and windy. I hope it makes life impossible for bacteria/fungus.

Shana good luck with it I think you should be able to get it to recover. At least at this time of year Sans are more forgiving and they are growing faster. Keep an eye out at those possible infection sites but i would keep them doused with the sulfure and maybe after the plant recovers remove those potentially infected leaves.

I didn't plan on purchasing any new sans this summer but that didn't last long. Today I received Sansevieria night owl. I lost my hahnii silver marginated and that's what this looks like to me. The tallest leaf is 8.5", the pot is 6" across, 4" high.

I like how creamy silver green the leaves are, Nancy. Is the color in the photo pretty true? That's a full pot, and healthy looking. Was this the same seller, because all of the photos I have seen of their plants have been nice plants. This one looks especially so.

@woodnative: The plant dried nicely and we are having weirdly dry weather and wind. I am going to break out the paintbrush today. I am feeling more confident and looked it over this morning. Yes, I will leave those leaves until some recovery talks place. With a couple of my infected plants, it seemed cutting the leaves made the infection angry and rampagier.

I think I am and am going to be someone who freaks out about anything that looks like a bacterial/ fungal infection. No time lapse video needed to watch that spread. I hope it has affected anyone here as much as it's going to.

Seller refunded me. I would really like a 'Silver Streak'/'Streaker'. I am sure that 99 percent of the plants they send out are in fine shape, minus the bugaboos of shipping that are expected.

I am really feeling the pain of wanting more plants when I have enough. I enjoy these Hahnii's, maybe just one more this year.

Shana, the color is true, looks like 11 plants in the pot. The seller is Green Millennium on Etsy, she is in Florida. I also purchased my Lauren and Yellowstone from her.

Shana I may have a 'Streaker' available later in summer for you. Ask me. This is my remaining 'Streaker' but growing well and a few pups. When growing vigorous the leaves aren't as pretty as that central stripe spreads out.

Thank you, woodnative.I would love to grow 'Streaker', but only if you are planning to separate! I'm loving 'Silver Frost' and 'Asahi', the other variegated Hahnii. They are just so lush, and I enjoy all the different colors even in a single leaf.

So when 'Streaker' is surging in growth, the leaves don't show the central stripe? But the stripe spreads through the leaf later? A certain Senegambica will send up a leaf that is kind of pea soup, only to become green and pale yellow with a little maturity. Are the 'Streaker' stripes kind of like that? That plant is pretty as it sits.
