I almost bought another L. Midnight Miss just because Bob's looked so nice and big and mine was new last year and I'm not known for my patience.

Is the nursery mail order? Do they really know their Hosta? I've sent a pic in the past and gotten reimbursed for being sent the wrong Hosta - luckily I found a large one available at a good price later.

Yeah, it is a good nursery with good price. This year is kinda messy for them, seems several nurseries are dealing with one or other problem.

Bob's is OS - definitely the place to get it. I agree w/ notifying the nursery for a replacement or refund. Lovely looking plant.

It's big for a first year plant. Maybe the nursery can ID it from the photo.

Maybe L. Accolade? It looks like a ventricosa offspring/seedling so maybe Black Satin. Just throwing out ideas ;)

Thanks for suggestions! I did sent request to nursery to see if they can ID it, however they were behind on their orders so who knows if I get any response. Oh well, just gotta talk to Bob to save me a big piece. He had an "in" with Mary Chastain so lots of Lakeside are from her. He also has Grumpy Green I am eying.
