Hi everyone,

We currently have a hedge of burning bushes that aren’t doing so great (branches keep dying off) and would really like to try replacing them with hydrangeas. I’ve read Annabelles and incrediballs will tolerate shade but I can’t tell how much is too much shade. Some places I’ve read dappled light is ok. (It’s more dappled under the ash but a lot less dappled under the maples). The building is three stories high and shades them completely from all morning sun and they get dappled/barely dappled in the afternoon. The buildings across the street are also three stories high so they block the sun in the evening. Any experience with hydrangeas in similar conditions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
