I have never had that many seeds on any of mine! Wow! I don’t cut my seed shoots down and I can’t say mine have gotten bigger by self sewing, but I don’t know about doing it from seed. Try posting this thread to the perrienals. Maybe people in the group will know, although I suspect some hosta growers will know the answer. Good luck.

They self seed in my garden. Like hostas they don’t come true to type from seed.

Very easy germination at room temp. Seed is tiny. Americana series will give you a lot of variegation.

You should cross-post this in the Heuchera forum. That forum isn't as busy as the hosta forum so it would be nice to have some more discussion there. Although I think once you create the thread, you can't add the cross-posting.

I cross posted it but hardly much goes on on the other sites, I saved the seeds from several varieties and will find a couple spots to spread seeds so I don't weed them out I have done that before on Snow on the mountain before realizing they are the whitest white plants I have ever seen, Finally saved the seeds when a neighbor stopped and asked what they were. I gave her a bunch of seeds and hers are growing now too. Love the challenge but now discard the seed pots from hosta . I only need so many of the green ones and put them in pots with no space to spare in the yard anymore.
