Cabinets too small?

I have two small glass front cabinets on either side of my range hood. there Is a French door to the left and a window to the right so the only size cabinets I can fit there are 12 3/4”. These are my only upper cabinets as the windows run the entire length of my kitchen perimeter. Do you think these will look funny? The range and range hood between are 36” Viking. The range hood is wrapped in white drywall to match cabinetry. Should I consider open shelving?
