Do you mind sharing the finish(es) that were applied to the island?? I desperately want a light colored finish for our kitchen remodel. For 2 years, I searched for someone who could do the pretty cerused white oak. I never could find anyone, so I went with clear alder (since I could see some actual samples ... & I do like that wood species). However, I haven’t seen any finishes as light as this ... & really like it! If I could get ours to look like this, I think I could be over the white oak disappointment pretty fast!! Crossing fingers ....

The island is semi-custom: the manufacturer is Kitchen Kraft, the wood species is knotty alder, and the finish is called "winter":
