Wow I am so jealous that you can grow Aeoniums!! I have to make due with Echeverias here in super well drained pots.

Munstead Wood and Tropicanana are also beautiful!

These are amazing photos, rich colors and an interesting variety of plants. The pond scene is so beautiful with the lily pads.

How large is your pond? Are your waterlilies tropical or hardy? I grow several tropical waterlilies and 3 lotus in big water tubs.

Because it's hot here the beautiful photo of the pond is my hands-down favorite, although Augusta Luise, so perfectly matched to its leafy neighbor, is a delectable eyeful. Iris ensalata has the most wonderful blue color.

Thank-you all. Sultry, my pond is tiny. Only 4 metres x 2 metres x 1 metre deep. I would love a larger one, but my garden is small. I did have some lotus in the pond, but they didn't turn up again after a colder than usual winter. I do miss them, but there is no room now in the pond. I might try one in a pot.

I only have two water lilies, they are both hardy.

OT: why do pictures appear in two sizes? Mine appear small and always cut off half the detail.

    Vaporvac,

One reason your pictures are not appearing correctly may be because the picture file is very large. Most cameras are set to save large sized files so they can be blown up without losing contrast.

    Try this:

First check the mb size of a picture file. Next, display the picture and do a 'screen grab' of the area in the picture you would want to display. Save what you selected as a jpeg file and note the size, it should be way less than the original.

If you don’t run into problems with the new file then you have solved your problem. For future pictures you can reduce the size your camera takes or follow the above procedure.

    Hope that helps…

Thank you. I'll have to check my file size, but I thought I had mad it smaller for another forum. Hmm. My pics are always small, I think, and need enlarging to view the full picture. I was mainly commenting on Daisy's which appear full-size in the first grouping and small in the second. I was wondering if it was a Houzz thing or something from her end? I'm saving your instructions to try that out!
