Help with bedroom decor!

hello all! I need a few ideas and suggestions about how to go about with my bedroom. My husband and I live in a 400 sq ft studio, and this is how I have our bedroom area Right now. I just got this wool rug and I just made this wooden bed frame, but now my bed side tables are a little too short and i kind of want some decor or tables that are a forest green color? I need help! I don’t know how to decorate! lol What should I have on the walls at the head of our bed? Should I take down my tapestry and move it? Or the little frame and shelf there? I guess I’m going for like a bohemian look? But with light colors

Your picture didn't come through. Try again? Sometimes, it's easier adding pics in a comment.

If this were mine, rather than a few small things on the wall, I'd hang a large tapestry or print above the bed, something with a landscape orientation, not portrait. Someone just shared this etsy print shop on another thread and I thought of your bedroom: Etsy- henna watercolour Maybe they'd have a print the right size for your wall. Something near the width of your bed. If the current nightstands offer you the right amount of storage, could you get a board to slide under to add some height? Or find inexpensive legs for them? I don't know how much higher you'd like them or how handy you are. I'm sure you could paint them whatever colour you'd like. Speaking of forest green, another idea would be to paint your headboard wall that forest green. Also, I'm not one to "dress" a bed but I'd want shams on my pillows if I left them visible. What about window treatments? Are the current blinds offering you enough sun blocking for the mornings? (Don't know your window's orientation.)

I’ll have to check out those tapestries! And yes I’m pretty handy, so I think I’ll just add some legs and paint my tables! Speaking of shams , they were in the wash when I took this picture haha! And yes the blinds are fine for now, but I’ll see if I can post an update once I’ve done everything thanks for all the input!

Or... You could hang drapery across the back wall behind the headboard. The fabric doesn't have to be expensive but you should have a lot of it so its flowy and voluminous. I would go for a heavier fabric (e.g. velvet like or linen like). If you use a curtain rod or a metal rod from the hardware store with three rod brackets it would even need a lot of sewing (turn the hem under so you don't see the raw edge).

I would add wood feet or metal casters from the local hardware store to increase the height of your night stands and put two tall but simple lamps on them.

I would replace your drapery and blinds with wood look blind with wider slats or blades to simplify the window and have it blend in. Or you could do a fabric blind that would block the light if that is an issue. The fabric should match or compliment the fabric behind your bed.

You could hang a neon sign or hollywood sign above the window to give it a bit of bling.

I love your floor and your rug is the star of the show. This would be a really fun project and not too expensive. I wish it was my space. :-)

    Not a Pro.

I love bohemian but sometimes it some of the rooms, look like a teenager is living in them.

I see something a little more sophisticated for you and your husband.

    Love your rug!!!

check out this headboard. You said you want green on that wall, what about something like this headboard painted green, up against that wall.

Sarah, do you own or rent your place? If you can share your budget as well, that might help with suggestions.
