No bay window for sure and the windows all need to be the same style and I would not do 18” from the floor since that will really affect where furniture can be placed . I would like to see the room too and do you know the cost for just enlarging a window it needs a new header the brick needs to be dealt with if this is the only window in the bedroom then it is worth it I guess . IMO the view from a bedroom window is rarely enjoyed during the day except for those few moments in the morning while getting ready for the day. Please post some pictures of the entire room

Thanks jck910 and Patricia for the feedback. I should provide a more complete picture.

The window below the master bedroom is going to be reduced in height to 72"x40" since the kitchen will be moved there and the sink/countertop will now be under it. There are 2 patio doors at the back at that level and on the 2nd floor, there is another bedroom with the same window. We would change windows in both BRs to match. In the BRs these are the only windows and we don't plan to have any furniture along that wall.

I've included portions of the main level floorplan and for the 2nd level with the bedrooms. Also some pictures of the bedrooms prior to the renovation.

Any feedback from the design gurus out there? Really need some advice.

I wouldn't install a bay window on a second floor. It's just out of proportion and will not look good. Also, it doesn't add any value to a bedroom--it's meant for a kitchen, living or dining room, on the first floor.

Not a fan of the look of a bay in a bedroom.
