FREE plants in Gainesville

last modified: 7 years ago

I'm posting this here, because nobody ever looks at the exchange forum. I want to plant more edibles in my last year at this apartment, so I'm trying to clear some of the ornamentals. These are "you dig," but the soil is good, so easy to dig (last time I checked - don't hold me to that). Message me if you're interested.

Yellow/orange cannas - get to about 4 feet tall and multiply like weeds. Bloom in shade or sun.

Purple Showers - beautiful purple flowers. This one doesn't seem to be too invasive. I've had it 4 years, and it's been pretty well behaved.

Amaryllis - I know one of these is solid red, because it bloomed last year, but the rest haven't bloomed. They were given to me, so I'm not exactly sure what colors they all are. Most of them are at least 4 years old, so they should bloom.

Red pine cone ginger - No matter what I've done, I haven't been able to rid myself of this plant. I have a few left, planted in the shade, and they have to go.

These plants are all TOTALLY FREE, but if you want to make a small donation toward my future move to Mexico, I wouldn't turn it down.
