A bedroom is a great place to hang personal pictures. Perhaps you could do a gallery wall to the left of the bed with black and white personal photos and a dramatic piece of art over the bed. Thank you for your reply. I do actually really like those lamps and I have about 56-59 inches length when the right door is opened.

Do you think floating shelves would be good in the bedroom? Also how high do you think I should go with the lamps? Should I place them over the tables or over the headboard of the bed?

I have tons of books that I am looking to display and trying to figure out if I want to put them on floating shelves in my room or in the living room.

Also I’m not going to lie. I’m not a fan of the dresser. I actually like a dresser that has small drawers on the top for like underwear and socks and then longer drawers on the bottom if that makes sense. I’m also not a fan of having to assemble my own furniture because I feel like that means it’s cheap and will break down easier.

I would put a few in your room and find a spot in the living room for others. Have you ever seen the spine bookshelves? They can be a fun way to display books in a compact space.

Do you have a budget for the dresser? Is your bed espresso or black?

My bed is black I’m sorry the pictures are not the best quality. I am actually planning on putting an area rug between the bed and dresser as well. Also my budget would probably be less than 400 for the dresser.

No worries-pics are fine. Sometimes espresso can be really dark and it's hard to tell. I poked around a bit for a dresser but didn't run across anything yet. I'll keep looking.

You will probably need to hang the lights above the headboard -- the light needs to project over the shoulder of a person seated in bed, so that they can use it to read. Have partner or a pal sit there and plan accordingly. (This makes sconces better than table lights in your case, since tables are so low!)

do you need a dresser? (not sure what the closet situation is, or if its big enough to put a small dresser in there?) if not, maybe a cool bookcase with tv on top or mounted above where others suggested a dresser. and i agree we need some color somewhere

I would prefer to have a dresser yes. My closet is a walk in but it’s not huge if that helps. Too be honest I’m not 100% sure how I want to lay out my room.

i put my dresser in my closet (it was big enough) which saved room in the room for other things- like shelving or art or idk, just some extra floor space :). i dont have a tv to worry about though

Consider increasing storage by adding a drawer system under your bed. Wall mount the bedside "tables" if they're not attached to the bed, and go for an Asian theme like an upscale hotel.
