If anything you would want to open up to dining room instead of the family room and put the pass thru window in the kitchen and swap the sink with the stove.

I would flip kitchen to the right side and opening to family room too. It will give you a larger kitchen

Is it that you want to remove the wall between the kitchen and family room? (Have you checked it’s not a load bearing wall?) since you already have a pass through and a doorway its already pretty open between the two rooms ...
