Outdoor showers are usually just like an outdoor spigot that was installed higher and had a shower head attached to it. They usually point a way from the house/walls and have nothing lining the walls, as there are no walls. Make sure the water drains away from the house.

I would make sure that your pipes are well insulated and have a shut-off, because you aren't going to use that shower for most of the year.

Thank you. I think the biggest thing for us is going to be installing the water softener. The current outdoor shower has so much white scum against the siding. I may still still some kind of liner.

If there is scum on your house, I'd wager it would be wise to consider directing the head differently. Do you have pictures of your current setup?

Could you post a picture of your shower I live in Canada and honestly can’t imagine having an outdoor shower and we are S. BC much warmer than Ontario. I guess I would want to know why you one and as mentioned they are usually pretty basic for washing of sand from the beach.

It's only for the summer. All pipes & hoses are drained and the enclosure is dismantled in the fall.

The house was a 3 season cottage so the hot water tank had an exterior tap to drain the tank for winter. (since winterized)

We realized we could hook up hoses to the cold & hot taps, feed them to a Y connector, attach another short hose and garden Sprayer and be able to shower outdoors.

My husband laid a brick pad on a slope then put privacy fencing around it.

We knew there would be some damage to the exterior wall but didn't worry as we are tearing that end of the building down in Spring and putting up a 2 story structure we laughingly call the east wing.

We absolutely love the convenience so we incorporated it into the new design off our new family bath...accessible by sliders.

Right now the scum on the siding is ridiculous because we have lime/calcium in the water, but that will be solved by the water softener.
