Groundcovers duking it out

I have an island with creeping euonymus, ivy and vinca all competing. I don't mind the combination terribly but probably should have a longterm goal of just one. Vinca is my preference because it doesn't climb trees and is beautiful in bloom in the spring. Next would be ivy, and last is the euonymus because it's so tough and sends up vertical shoots that are kind of unkempt. Which one is most realistic to prevail on its own, and how would you approach a simplification strategy? Or is it hopeless?
