Thank you all! Colleen, I don’t know what kind of yarn it is. :). It was one of those bargain bags from JoAnn’s. It’s garter stitch. You start with five stitches then increase at the beginning of each row until it’s diagonally as big as you want, then you decrease at the beginning of each row back down to five stitches.
