Someone here has used that and loved it. I wish I could remember who it was. Granite is hard to beat for durability. I love the look of the titanium type and leathered is a lovely texture. Sounds like an awesome plan to me.

I have leathered Virginia Mist granite; skmom’s comments are my experience as well. So far it’s been great!

We have brushed/leathered steel gray granite as well and love it. Easy to care for and love the texture and no shine. Titanium granite is gorgeous and I think it would look lovely leathered.

I am so happy reading this- I saw Titanium and for all my indecision, I feel pretty sure that that is what I will use. I hadn't thought about leathered though... At one of the (very good) granite yards, they have it and say it is a quartzite which really confused me. I have tried researching and cannot see if it is granite or quartzite. I am not too concerned because quartzite I understand is also quite bulletproof but I am confused to see it termed quartzite.

And yes what will your cabinets be? I think Titanium is gorrrrgeous.

Perfect, thanks! The cabinets are in flux.... We are doing the kitchen in a modern style. Slab cabinets. We had everything chosen and designed and chose a woodgrain light thermofoil from thomasville nouveau. Come to find out at the last minute that they couldnt do appliance doors in thermofoil and couldn't do a flush oven. We might still use that company but we are now looking at dura supreme or jay rambo. Possibly in the color below. Long and drawn out answer, sorry!
