i am moving hostas closer to my home because i am getting too darn old to take care of a huge garden anymore. i have a bed close to the house where i am moving as many hosta as i can. maybe if i'm still kicking in the spring i will build a shade thingie and move a few more. i dont have room for all the hosta i planted over the years. i still Love them to the max. to be honest i dont know what to do with the big ones in the woods. anyway, wondering if they could or should be fertilized when moved? would that help with root growth?
