Relax. This is one of the easiest of plants to propagate. Just keep them watered and be patient.

Agree with floral - they root really easy. Snip and stick in soil. Water and keep it out of direct Sunlight. I save a pot each Fall with many cuttings and then in early Summer I make many cuttings out of them and stick them all around the yard. Just do not keep watering them - the soft stems will rot.

insert finger in pot.. and find out when they need water ... do not overwater .... and presuming your pot has a drain hole.. its probably not an issue ... do let the pot dry out a bit.. before you water again ...

since they dont have a great root mass ... you do need to provide enough water ... without loving them to death with too much water ...

if you placed them in a baggie.. open at the top.. it might help create a zone iof higher humidity ... which might help ... i see now.. you did that.. good ... done

if you can post a pic.. that might help also ... what do you mean.. yours are soft and lilty ???

there is no reason to start over.. with rooting hormones ...

It was not my intention to disagree with floral on watering but it certainly looks so. What I wanted to convey was not to keep it constantly wet by repeated watering. They root easily and like most other plants roots will find it easier to grow and spread if the mix in not saturated with water.

I didn't say 'keep watering', Ken, I said 'keep watered' which is not the same thing at all.

Pls try to calm down, this is not as complex as you seems to think it needs to be, tho' I hear that you're new to propagating.

As others have said these root very easily. Even if one just puts a few cuttings in a small cup of water, they'll root in no more than 2 weeks time, then one can pot them up.

How you've done it is just fine as well, just give it time & try to be patient. New leaves will be the indicator that rooting has happened.
