Some of those tiles are not sitting flush with the others. A white grout would help to not notice the grout lines as much. Not much help now though. I’m sure someone else will have a solution for you. I’m sorry

Those uneven tiles would make me CRAZY.

When you see a poor tile installation, it is a red flag that the tile setter is not as skilled as he should be. Therefore the pros on here will always ask you to find out how the shower was built, especially what waterproofing materials and methods were used. You should probably ask your tile setter that question today.

Thanks for confirming that it’s not just me being picky. They finished tiling the walls then grouted the floor so I couldn’t check the wall with the uneven tiles until yesterday. For the backer they used Schluter Ditra.

Correction, Schluter board for the walls. Other stuff was the floor.

A lot of red flags here, and the poor workmanship is highlighted by the dirt-colored grout. It almost looks like he made that shelf in the niche with two tiles sandwiched together. Remove and redo. Confirm what the “other stuff” was on the floor. Did you have a flood test?
