How large are these beetles and where are you finding them (indoors, outdoors, particular rooms, etc.)

It does not appear to be any of the tiny indoor pest beetles (larder, flour, carpet, etc.).

They are most active during the morning when I first get up around 5am. I also think they can fly but I’ve only seen it happen once. They are found on the first floor of the townhouse, bathroom, living room, kitchen.

Looks like either a Ground beetle or a Darkling beetle. I have no idea why you have an indoor infestation of these.
