Earlier this year I posted in a different forum that I had bought a Joy Ride a few years back. As it grew in beauty and the ruffling became very prominent, I promised it a prime spot in the front yard in my most organized garden.

Then this year it leaped and I realized the leaves were too long for the intended prime spot. Mine has leaves that look longer than the ones in the Hosta Library. It’s not as full either but those long leaves would really not be in scale with the front row. Whereas where it is now in the back yard it has all the room it wants.

Several people suggested Waterslide as a smaller but similar looking hosta. I could not find it (wanted to choose it in person) and I bought a different blue. Then Monday in a nursery I found it. I will move a different medium sized hosta from the front bed to make room for this one.

So does anyone grow this? HL has it as 14” h x 31” wide. Though in my garden they seldom reach the listed size (which is not a problem; I don’t have that much space). I’d like to see it in context with other plants to get an idea of scale. Thanks!
