White walls, like BM Swiss Coffee, or Chantilly Lace are classic and in trend. Door hardware in brass, bronze or black. Plumbing fixtures in anything you like.

I personally found Chantilly Lace to be too bright and sharp in tone for walls. It was bright enough as a trim color, but would have been too much on the walls as well, IMHO.

What colors are your furnishings, and what colors do you want to decorate with? What color are your floors? Those things should be your deciding factors when choosing your wall colors.

seriously though, people are so worried about what's on trend and what other buyers may want, that they totally forget that they're ones living in the space. Enjoy your space and do what you want. paint the walls purple if you like. who cares? paint is cheap. And you never know, sometimes poo happens and you may be there longer than you think. Don't waste time thinking about future buyers at the expense of your own happiness.

Sure. Also, keep in mind the following: some people don’t mind painting often. Others do. You need to decide what your paint tolerance is. An off-white, neutral wall color is always in style. Buyers like neutral wall colors. The reason is that they either don’t want to paint or cannot imagine what their furniture would look like if the home were painted or both.
