If paint, do the entire room and ceiling the same color. I would not add a stone wall inside the house unless the exterior is also stone. And no faux stone, especially indoors.

The wall shadows from the light fixture would drive me crazy. Have you thought about replacing?

New artwork. New rug by door (?) and at kitchen sink area.

Have you just moved into the house?

Get the giant garbage can out first and you need much better lighting that does not cast so many shadows

I love interior brick walls. I think it can really change the look of a room especially in the kitchen. It is your house and if you want to do it, then do it. You are the one that has to live there and I want you to be happy.

I wouldn't paint that wall. What's the problem you are trying to solve? If you want your kitchen to have different look, I'd start with accessories: new window treatment, art, rug, table cloth, and a little tidying up and putting appliances in cupboards if that works for you. Also, I'd recommend posting a photo during the daytime, so we can see the room with natural light and without the glare of the light fixture.

Im not mad about the pattern from the light fixture that's part of it's design. IF you dont like it that's another thread lol. Start buy adding curtains, moving the pictures and post a few more pictures of the other walls in the space.

What craziness is happening from the light fixture? You already have an accent wall.

ok we decided to do the following:

what a difference a new paint color makes. very nice. (not quite sure about the leaning mirror tho....although it does bounce around the light)

I have a suggestion for the bar cart, which is a great idea. maybe something like this with some artwork above it?

or maybe a few shelves w/some plants? you don't have to crowd them, just something light and bright. you have the perfect wall space above that cart to do something.
