It all depends how much light the blinds let in. does it get morning sun? I need a real dark room to sleep. A guest room should take that into account.

Thanks everyone! I couldn’t think of Palladian windows but I think I’ll just keep the blinds. The window is on the south side but I’ll have to see what it’s like at sunset. It’s an upstairs bedroom I want to use for guests. I just bought a king bed to go in there and I know it will be a little crowded but I don’t need any dressers and I will just have small nightstands and a chair. There is a large walk in closet for luggage so no need for extra space.

I think the blinds are okay since it is south facing and won't get morning sun. you are right a guest room doesn't need all the things you need in a bedroom you use every day. think of what you get in a nice hotel. night tables both sides of bed especially on a king, a place to put a suitcase and a place to just sit. a bench at the end of the bed could be both

You have a pseudo Palladian window. A true Palladian is 3 separate windows with a demi-lune over the centre window. If you need complete darkness in this bedroom, add drapes with the rod above the circular window. If you don't need complete darkness, put rod between rectangular window and circular window.
