I agree with your plan. A very dark, glossy green on your front door would look good too.

I would paint the garage doors and panels beneath windows on either side of front door a shade of grey just slightly lighter then the roof. That will tie in nicely with grey accents in your stone work. Also consider painting the siding of the two sections that jut out on either side of the house (with the smaller windows in them) the same grey color. And yes, paint the front door red!!

I think you should just add the hardware to the garage and paint the front door red, i dont think you should paint the garage. It looks beautiful as it is! Gorgeous home!
