My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Houzz is up to something again James, what a pain.
Hopefully you can answer here or anyone else for that matter. I have no idea what to do. Obviously I want to do what is best for flower and root production. I have been hearing they can take cold but not sure if it's great for good growth and if inside temps will hold them back from flowering?
I would bring them in. I don’t like to leave anything outside except, cymbidiums , below 50. They would probably survive lower temps but I don’t think it would be beneficial to them.
I wouldn‘t consider those types to need very high light levels so I don’t think you gain anything by leaving them out.
I couldn't comment to your original post this morning either, I wonder if it has to do with including the Orchid FAQ 'group'?
Starting last weekend, I've moved anything I care about inside for the winter. We're having similar temps here in Ohio. I left most of my varied collection (brought Phal violaceas types in a few weeks earlier) under the eaves of my house when we dropped into the upper 30's and lower 40's for a few nights over the last few weeks. No problems that I can see, but they were under an eave where they were protected and a little warmer than in the open. A few of the things that were in flower are now struggling to maintain those flowers after the drastic outside/inside environmental change.
