I took a chance on the last beautiful, soggy, beaten up begonia rex at a big box garden center - my first ever. As I was repotting it into better draining soil, the whole thing fell apart into several small plantlets. I tried to keep them intact as much as possible to avoid ripping off more roots and ended up planting six little clumps. I nursed them like cuttings and five made it - hooray!

As they are growing now, I noticed that one of the plantings seems to be two separate plants and another looks like three or four separate plants! Should I divide or cut away the multiples? I don't know enough about begonias to know if this is how they reproduce or if the big box nursery propagated these by shoving a bunch of cuttings together in a pot. I didn't notice a rhizome connecting any of the plantlets if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
