I tried to upload and it just circles. I copied and pasted from google photos and it seems to not work. What shall I do?

Snip a copy of the pic and put it on your desktop, then load from there to Houzz using the Photo button below the comment box. You mist wait until the "mask" fades and the colors are true and it is in focus. Then hit Submit.

Why do you want to paint the furniture? The nightstands look to be a nice wood tone. Are they in bad shape? I think I'd want more substantial curtains. I love the pic DK Haas shared.

I have seersucker suit on my bedroom walls. All my furniture is white. This is my bedding…well, it’s from overstock and mine was Echo who was partnering with Kravet. Kravet named their print Dot Kat. Echo stopped making the set, but this is exactly like the one I have.

However, Kravet is still making the fabrics in case you want window treatments.

DK Haas, do you know where I can find instructions to make a headboard. Mine is low and I would love to create a box around it to make it larger.

I would play up navy blue. Very pretty with your wall color.

@staceywj . Im not sure what yours looks like, so it's hard to suggest. You could make a separate design dilemma and post a DIY tag to it. . If you want to create a frame around an upholstered headboard, you could use a a large piece of foamboard 4x8 from hardware store (have a vacuum handy when you cut it using a knife. Use spray adhesive, 1" upholstery foam and batting. I imagine it would be lightweight to be held in place with hot glue. You could add corded trim to hide hot glue runs.

I found this video for a channel tufted headboard. Although a project, it looks very achievable. I plan to make one and mount it to the wall. My super tall DH dislikes footboards, so finding the right bed has been a task. At the moment, I've cheated a headboard look with king size pillow shams. Your room has some great elements already but I feel like your nightstands are holding back the overall design. I would sell them and replace them with something more light, like this:

I'd also get a duvet cover with some texture:

I would also hang your curtains high and wide and replace them with an ivory color.

I might also upgrade your table lamps, which isn't necessary but might make a bigger impact on the space as a whole.

I know digital nightstand clocks are a must for many but I'd replace your current one:

Yes, it is perfectly ok to mix ivory with white.

I agree that mixing ivory with white works. If you notice the lamp and curtains both mix the two.
