I need help finishing my bedroom. This is what I have so far. I will be putting a round gold mirror above the turquoise dresser.

Could you post pics of the rest of the room?

Does the dresser or bed fit on another wall? It looks a little too all lined up with the furniture all placed along one wall. I understand if the space just isn't there that you have to do what you have to do, but if there is another wall you could move the dresser to then it would be a better look. Will the dresser fit along the wall where the door opens onto?

I would add a bedside lamp and on the dresser I'd add something on each side to flank the mirror. What that would be will depend on what your needs are for the space. Purely decorative or do you have a need to have functional items? I would lean towards some taller items grouped with a lower item. Either a single large piece or 3 smaller ones.

Then I'd find some art to put on the walls whether that is paintings, photos, or other items that is up to your taste. Something above the headboard.

Speaking of your taste. What do you like? What is your style?

Need more pictures. Use the dresser as a night table get rid of the wheeled trays beside the bed. Better use in a bath?

    Hi Lyfia,

It's a very small room. I can barely go in front of my bed to get to my window which is on the left of the photo.

    Hi Cheryl,

What about the empty space if I move the trolly?

Any decor tips like specific colours for throws, blankets, pillows?

just spread things out a little. move the bed over a little to give you more walking space on the window side. would things fit on the window wall? please post more pictures. and a rough sketch of the floorpan with measurements.

Take trolley out and move your bed closer to the dresser. Use the dresser as your nightstand with a lamp on it with the mirror on the wall over the dresser. I would look for bedding that has some color like your dresser....aqua? Look for some art or metal sculpture for over your bed. Then look for a shag throw rug for the side of your bed. Can your hamper be hidden in your closet? Curtains could be fuller and maybe another lamp on the table on the left side of your bed..

I am looking for something more eclectic. I was hoping that would be it for the turquoise. Looking to incorporate more colors (except for pink). Nothing too girly...

It looks better without the trolley, but I would move the bed back toward the window about 1/2 of the way of the space that's there now, so the bed isn't so tight up against the dresser (or tight up against the wall.

I'd reconsider gold for your mirror frame as you will then have black and gold and turquoise, but no repeat of any of them (although I do see there is some gold hardware on the dresser). What about a black framed mirror to repeat the black of the bed? I think black would look great above the turquoise.

If you want more colors, what about print draperies with other colors, but including the turquoise? I'm imagining you're a young person and might want something fun?

then pick a color from the fabric to use on the bed, either a throw or pillows if you're keeping the white (I would).

I'm not a pro. That said, here are a few bedding options that I found on Houzz that might tie in the turquoise while adding other colors.

Alternatively, you might prefer to use a more neutral color (like a white, off-white, or cream) for the bedding and go bold with pillows, drapes, and/or artwork.

Maybe some black and white art above the bed (if you do wild curtains).

Do you think a bookcase (in natural light wood) would look good against the wall of the window and I get rid of the black side table?
