Looks like a bit too much of a gap at the sides and top, so they look a little too small. I'm not understanding why there's a gap at the top. Either the windows were measured wrong or they took too much deduction.

Could be the stiles are quite narrow. Also, try reversing the roll and order the matching valance. Then, of course, both of the above may be the issue.

i agree, too much of a gap around the sides and top, especially for a bedroom where you don't want much light coming in.

I would have ordered one blind for those windows in an outside mount then add some drapes for nighttime privacy and FYI the darker the color the better the view outside and I almost always do 10% to keep the view.

The bottoms (where they meet the sill) do not look straight and even.

That would be the window that’s not straight and even at the bottom.

They seem too narrow to me. You should be able to attache the brackets to the two sides of the window; otherwise, they'll not cover the entire window. If you can exchange them, do. If you cannot and you need a different fix -- just pick up some wider inexpensive blinds from Walmart -- the kind without the strings.

If that is a heating unit beneath the windows, you don't even want to try long drape panels; however, three curtain short (window length/height) panels that are hung so only the left and right side of the window frames and exposed areas of the glass are covered, with third panel hung in the center to cover the center post -- hung to cover the glass exposed when the blinds are down but otherwise covering as little glass as possible -- just enough to give yo more privacy and light control..

The unevenness on the bottom of this shade does not look like a window problem, but a shade problem.

I see what you're talking about now. I thought you meant the shade on the left.

The gap on the top is there because the shade is extended. You wouldn't be able to roll the shade up if that gap were too small. If those roller mounts are touching the top of the frame, then that's all you get.

The gap on the sides is set by the thickness of the roller mounts on each side. Look at the sides of the top roller--there's no big gap there between the roller and the mounts on the window frame.

You might--might--be able to squeak 1/8" more width out of the shade, but what you have is what you should have, within a very close tolerance.

The could've did much better width wise, if they're custom, and they should have included a valance to cover the gap at the top.

Thank you all for your input. We were able to flip them around, ( currently reserve mount ) and I think the amount of light coming through is less. Still think they are not wide enough, but that can’t be changed unless we reorder and pay more. ( They will work with us some , it may only be $200 more, but I am not sure it’s worth it). Will see how they look in the day time.
Patricia I wish we had done one blind. Though about it but then wanted to have the option to raise / open each window individually .

I am glad you were able to resolve your problem with the manufacturer. Roller Shades have always the problem that on either side you have a gap of approx. 3/4 inch - this is not avoidable for inside mount installation. Also the gap on the top is normal because you don't have a casing on top and when the fabric rolls down, the gap gets bigger.

Bottom line is, that it is as good as it gets with roller shades. A much better option would have been inside mount bottom up top down pleated or honeycomb shades. You would have only 1/16 inch gap on each side and none one the bottom or top...just saying this for your future blinds and shade purchases.
