Arid Plants Need ID Please!

last modified: 6 years ago

Hey! I can take a stab at these plants but I am not sure. I would love some assistance on identification. Thank you! Plants dwelling within Balboa Park in San Diego.

Plant A : Leonotis nepetifolia as it has sharp spikes on seed pod, but could be L. leonurus. Are the spiky seed pods the only identifier? The leaves, when rubbed, have a sage-like odor.

Plant B : Something in the Fabaceae family? Please note the spiky bark and the flower (apologies for the fuzziness of the shot).

Plant C : Some sort of acacia? Please note the conifer-like leaves and the green seed pods in the distance.

Plant D : Some sort of acacia? Please note the leaves and the orange-brown seed pods that crumble into dust when you open them up.
