Putting the shine back on marble countertop

I took the shine completely off of my bathroom marble countertop by using
wrong products. I'm trying to figure out how to get the shine back. there were water stains on the counter top that I just couldn't get off so I've used a Brillo pad with bar keepers Friend, thinking that would do the trick. It totally took the finish off of the marble and I am left with a dull countertop with all kinds of stains. It's not noticeable from a distance but up close it makes me sick.

Probably need to bring in a marble refinisher to repolish the surface.

Yes, and after it is repolished, research about the care of marble and learn what you need to do to to maintain the marble correctly. There are things called "poultices" (yes, like old-timey medicine, except for stone) that can be used to try to remove stains. Marble is a very porous stone that stains easily and also etches. Read here about etching. When you chose the marble, didn't anyone give you any instructions on the care of it?

I would suggest you to hire professionals to clean and polish your marble countertop. We hired the experts from D'Sapone restorations to get cleaned and seal our kitchen countertop. They did fantastic work and the results were amazing. We used different products before hiring them but results were not satisfying so we went for hiring experts. They used imperia and celine to clean and seal the countertop. You can go by hiring them or using the products.
