Love your bloom.. Is it fragrant..?

I like that type of Dendrobium, but they are difficult here.

Thank you all so much! Yes, it has a delightful light sweet fragrance. Arthurm2015, in a general way, where are you?

Here is a hybrid, sadly name unknown, one of the very few exhibited at a local orchid society in Sydney, Australia.

My location is in my id.......back to the topic, a few years back some "nigro-hirsuite type" were available here, not so many now. Might be easier in Florida, or Hawaii or indoors under lights.

I noticed lately if you are looking at the site from a mobile phone, the zone info for the poster doesn't show up. At least on my phone.

    Wonder why.

arthurm2015(Micro-Climate, Zone 10b Sydney, Australia) doesn't come up on some ways of viewing a page? Just shows arthurm2015?

Here‘s a screen shot from my phone.

From my PC the zone info is there

    Sorry for the thread drift.

No please set a drift! I think knowing our zones/locations aren't showing up is important information.

Arthurm2015, I started looking for your zone because you said it was there. I was surprised that I couldn't find it. Although, your comment about a local orchid society clued me in.

Since it isn't showing up, I'm in a hot dry SoCal location. Our humidity has been around 10%. I have a friend who grows orchids up near the fires in Australia and if you'd like I can ask if he has a good source for dendrobiums, some of the ones I grow are from Australia.

Yesterday was horrible. Max 32C humidity 9%. I watered everything in the early morning. Everything is a big big collection of orchids which needs to stop getting larger, but thanks for the offer.

Today was a cool 84°f here. I'm trying to diversify my collection but I do enjoy the ease with the dens. So far, I've learned that vandas & milts are unhappy in my climate but I'll figure them out eventually.

Have you ever been to Andy’s in Encinitas CA ?

Not yet but we are thinking about going to their upcoming open house. We have bought from them including the den virgineum I posted here, very nice orchids!

There are milts and there are milts! The hybrids that are still Miltonia are mostly easy here. The type that were split off as Miltoniopsis are difficult because of cloud forest loving ancestors.

I've given up trying to grow most Vandas!

Miltoniopsis Unknown (pansy orchid) beautiful, but difficult in some climates, might see one or two per year at a local orchid society.
