Lighting Design Dilemma Entry

Front door exterior lighting help please!!

Our new front door entry is recessed in about 9 1/2 ft between garage and kids bedroom wall. The entrance wall is 6ft 4 inch the front door is 3ft it is a 3/4 lite 1 panel with 6 grid and rainfall glass See picture but ours does not have the side lites. Would there be enough space for a light on each side of door or do you think a hanging one would be better? Thanks for any help!!

We have a similar front door that is recessed. We have sidelites and no room on either side for a wall light so we are doing a hanging light. I think the hanging light has more of a "wow" factor.

Ceiling mount, fixed or hanging. We had to do this when we built our home and have a surface mount Minka Lavery to match our wall mount craftsman sconces. Looks great
