@felizlady Sorry, I should have better articulated. My concern is that we don't have enough room to have bar all the way to the wall (the 12" overhang of the bar behind the door - door to outside). So, we will need to stop the bar top just at the width of the door and then would have space between where the door would be when open and the wall. Does that make sense? But I agree, a live edge bar top would be fabulous!

Because live-edge slabs come in many widths and any length needed, you could even have one cut to match the size and shape of the existing bar top,
with a little less of the actual live edge across the front.
I would love to have a small live-edge slab for serving cheese, too. They would make nice gifts, too. Now I need to find a woodworker!

I've created a diagram of the space I am envisioning to assist with showing my dilemma. We are open to all suggestions and exploring other ideas. I am just trying to see if we can make this idea work or need to find other options. Using a corner cabinet pushes us up to the door and wouldn't allow us to extend the bar top to the wall. We could eliminate the corner unit, moving things in, closer to the right exterior wall, allowing us to take the bar top to the wall, but having the extra storage would be nice and eliminate some dead space in the corner. Our plumbing is in the corner of where we want to add the dishwasher, so hoping to keep those items in that corner. I hope this helps expand on what we are working with.

We need measurements and honestly I find bar space used very little in most instances I also would like to see a picture of what you have now.

Is there any reason the bar needs a bar top? Not just a mini wet bar between the door and the wall to the left in diagram and then an actual bar height table in all that free space?
