Drip v. Sprinkler Irrigation for new construction home

We're getting landscaping quotes for our new-construction home. Two contractors have told us that the recommend sprinklers, as they find drip systems more prone to failure. Two others have told us they recommend drip, as it's more efficient in general, easier to repair, and works better with sloped areas. I'm officially confused. Is one clearly better than the other? Is it truly a coin toss? We can easily put in either at this point.

We're in the PNW on a mostly forested lot, if that affects things. Landscaping will be a mixture of native trees, shrubs, and grasses, designed to be low maintenance.
