Natures Miracle ...contains enzymes so don't leave on the wool carpet very long, as the enzymes will break down some natural fibers....they say. I haven't had any problem with it however, and it works very well on doggie barf.

I like Woolite Pet Oxy, but I don't know if it's safe for wool. Folex is however, and generally works pretty well.

Do you have one of those Bissell cleaning machines that runs water through it? When I got undyed wool rugs, my designer insisted I get the machine before they were delivered. She says put a tiny bit of plain dish soap on the carpet when you get it wet. No cleaning solution—just the soap and hot water. Same thing has happened here and it totally worked! Good luck. Ollie is extremely handsome :-)

I like Spot Shot for removing carpet stains. My ex-husband once spilled a can of orange soda under the bed and never cleaned it up. I found it months later and got the orange stain out with Spot Shot.
