Looks great. Very interesting variegation, pleasing to the eye and will look stunning in a planter. And even better to have come from a new plant friend!

Very nice. I have a variegated S.parva, acquired as cultivar 'Lancet'. Possibly the same, even though leaves are light yellow (with green), not such deep yellow as in your photo. Grows nicely for me, even though the cultivar is said to be delicate and demanding (too much sun - possible burns, that is the warning I got; very bright light needed and not too much water). I wish you luck with your plant!

I love the variegated parvas. That said are you sure that one is parva(?).......the leaves look too wide to me in the photo but it may be an illusion of the photo. The more "common" (relatively) variegated parva has white centers. I also have a yellow variegate which I don't see as often. Stush, who can grow anything else, has problems with these but I have found them quite easy, even with the large amount of variegation. Regular green parva is SO vigorous that even the variegates are pretty strong. Enjoy your new plant!

Could be! Hard to tell but nice whatever it is. Here are my parvas growing on my office window on this cloudy winter day in NJ.

Chris, I would really love to know what I did wrong. What's your secret to success? Maybe next year, you could give me another start. Only if I can find what I'm doing wrong.

I used the same compost mix that grew my most hard to grow sans and did great.

Now that is a good start of a plant. Nice rooted rhizome.

That is compost, some grit and about 25% perlite. Kept on a bright window sill and in a warm room. Maybe I should have kept it under LED's.

The yellow hahnii treated the same and is doing great. New pup started to take off.

Why is it we must take as a challenge the ones we can't grow? .

Sorry, but I'm confused. What you're showing above, is that the one you lost, or a yellow Parva you're growing now? Barely got any green there whatever it is.

It's just been a couple of weeks, seems fine, I haven't wanted to do anything to it, other than let it settle in.

I just went to check on it, saw it was dry; it's been HOT in my place, too much heat & today unusually warm. Gave it a nice long drink, think I'll need to change its mix, kind of soil-like.

Also saw 2 more & see I forgot to share & take pix, w/ this Sans. from the same guy I got 2 more, a small green & white variegated Parva & also small, a Trifasciata Hahnii Silver Streak, supposedly. This guy sold 'em smaller than I'm used to buying them, seems I'm a bit nervous to handle these plants.

Karen, That's the one pictured that I lost. Checked on it a day before and all looked good then the next day it fell over in rot?? Soil was dry. Got a bit of root left but not sure it will re-sprout anything.

At one time Bantal's Sensation used to give me a lot of trouble but now it grows like a weed for me. In it's case, it called for a more peaty mix. Sans are strange people.

I don't think it is parva variegates。Maybe the picture gave me the illusion

Karen, that is a pretty plant. It will be good to see what it matures to. It's so bright looking. I am finding that these brighter variegates and plants sending out leaves that are all different, really appeal to me. The office photo of woodnatives really kind of chaps my hide, in a good way! I have this little white marginated parva.....well, it's hanging on! It seems to like its current conditions under light in the home.

My plant, bought as S.parva 'Lancet'. South window, but directly in front of the window there is a very large conifer tree. So the light is bright, the sun not necessarily very strong. So far it grows nicely (I think).

Nice one Basia, I hope mine grows up to look like yours.
