Are you quilting this weekend? Dec. 14-15

Hello Quilters! It is time for me to go to bed but I will post this tonight. Is anyone else working on the Bonnie Hunter mystery? I have the first two clues finished and have cut out clue three. I plan to sew it tomorrow. (Saturday)

This morning I met a new friend at Bob Evans for brunch. We both belong to the the same quilt guild and she had my name in the secret pal exchange this year. We had the reveal at our meeting on Tuesday. She hasn't been able to attend meetings this year due to medical issues. She sent me some wonderful gifts for the exchange. We visited for almost two hours and made plans to attend the guild's retreat together in the spring. I haven't been to a retreat yet and am excited to go.

Linda, I'm hoping to keep up with Bonnie's Mystery by just making half the amount she lists. I have the first and second completed and half of the third is sewn and the other half is all cut out just need to sew together.......maybe later on today, but I need to get groceries, too.....and it's already 3pm We're having our gift-opening Christmas at DDs this Sunday so it's getting down to crunch time here. I saw a cake recipe called Flamingo Cake so want to try it. Nothing but white cake mix with cherry jello but the kids will like a pink cake......maybe. lol Tomorrow night (Friday), DGD is hosting a Christmas gathering at a local brewery and winery (https://www.coppbrewery.com/) and invited me to tag along. Toolgranny/Linda used to take sleep-aid to our retreats and got me interested in 'relaxers' so we'll see what happens. :-)

I quilted half of my Crossroads quilt. I hope to get it finished and bound before we leave for the winter on December 26. On the way home to Minneapolis from Palm Desert in April, we will stop in Omaha for my niece's wedding. I'd like to deliver it to her then. That's about it for me.

I will take pics to post but that is all. My machine and sewing area are all consolidated and inaccessible until after January 12th. I miss quilting already!

This is concert weekend, so no sewing for me. Two concerts today and church and a third concert tomorrow. I am taking Monday off to recuperate so I may sew some then.

We had our granddaughters birthday party and her pre-school program yesterday, as well as our church group's potluck dinner yesterday! I did manage to get the American Legion quilt sandwiched (queen size). It is now folded up and ready to take to Arizona on Thursday and I will quilt it there. I made 10 Little Japanese bags for gifts for some of our volunteers at Lions Club. Right now I am trying to get the rest of my sewing things together to take with us to AZ. We will have Charlotte tonight, so only a couple more hours to get things done!

I could not quilt this weekend because I'm baking cookies for my gift boxes. Wrote out some Christmas cards as well. I can't get over how fast this month has been passing. Such a busy time of year, sounds like all of us are being very productive and giving with our time and talents!
