3 yrs ago I made a teepee for my oldest grandson. This year my daughter asked me to make one that looked like a spaceship for her son, second grandson

Those are really cute - you did a great job making them! Everyone (kids and adults) should have their own private space to enjoy alone time; you've made it possible for them to have that space.

I made 10 one Christmas so each family would have one. They are such fun!! Now I see Target and others have them retail. Yours are much more creative. I used solid heavy cotton for mine. They are a HIT so easy to set up and store away!!!

Thanks everyone. To those who asked about a pattern, I have a 30 year old sewing book with instructions. There are a lot of tutorials on the internet too. I don't sew anything to sell, just a way to keep busy and feel productive.

How cool! Your grandkids must love them. What kinds of fabric do you use? Canvas?

Lovely job. How did you lash the poles together in the rocket ship? I think I have the same 30 year old instructions, but the poles lash together as in your first teepee.

I made one almost just like yours some years ago. It came out so cute! I made it for grandson who lives close and as he outgrew it, it went to be with his younger cousins in Florida. It was such fun! I even made a quilted floor for it and matching pillows for lounging.
