Lantern choices. Third one is oil rubbed bronze and fourth one is an antique brass

I like the fourth choice/antique brass. It will compliment the new lamp.

It’s for the hearth not the mantle

It looks like you may have a small dog? Do you plan to light the lantern on the hearth, or is it just decorative? I'd be concerned about a pet near a flame.

If I have the correct lamp from Amazon, the description is -

The description of the 3 globe floor lamp says - "Dome lampshades with brass give your space a modern update."

I may be the only one who questions those styles together. Your sofa, chair and rug seem more Traditional from what I can see, and to me, the floor lamp doesn't go with the furniture and the stone around the fireplace glass.

All you need on the hearth is the tool set. Leave the rest of the space clear.

No lanterns, please. Besides, where would you put them? With the tools and wood carrier you'll have plenty of stuff on the floor.

I agree. No lanterns. They're just going to make your pretty fireplace look cluttered.

Going to use the lanterns the rest of the year when not doing fires. We have a dog but i was going to use frameless battery operated candles not real ones.

You're planning to hang the lanterns on each side of the tv? Would not crowd the mantel with anything other than perhaps an attractive wood box for long matches ... if that.

Unless you mean electric sconces, do you want lanterns to hold candles or do you want oil lanterns for burning clear lamp oil with a wick?

If you decide to get any lanterns at all to hang (as if sconces) and actually intend to use them -- such as during a power outage and/or just for mood light -- you might want to focus on oil lanterns that have the brackets with them AND that can be carried away from the fireplace to be filled with oil. (safety issue)

These hang away from the wall via bracket and can be removed from the bracket and provide light elsewhere in the house should you have a power outage.

You could use a brass door kick plate (or half plate) behind each of them or use metal plates intended for decorative 911 numbers.

Choose a "hand truck" style wood carrier if you're actually going to build wood fires -- your back will appreciate the choice.

Brass floor lamps and brass back plate for your oil lanterns could work well together but so would black floor lamps with your black metal fireplace tools & rack.
