I would say yes, but no guarantee. Some people use clear cups for that purpose.... You can also give the cutting a light tug and see if it's in there good, that would mean roots.... The third option, let the soil dry up a bit and pull it out gently.

Thank you. Yes, clear cup is better, but I already have those small pots. I won't declare success until I repot in the spring.

They look like they have roots to me as well. I use the larger clear grocery store deli containers so I can see the roots as they grow. I'd bet money those have nearly as much root growth as they have top side vegetative growth.

They do look rooted except the third picture in orange container is a little iffy !

I would recommend to water a little less, if the containers have saucers, water from bottom to prevent fungus gnats, keep to soil about inch deepdeep dry.

Cuttings look very nice, well done for first rooting fig cuttings

Hi all... Updates on my cuttings... They are doing very well. Beginner luck, I suppose. One cutting has a tiny fig forming. Very cute, but I wonder if I should remove it.

Odds of the fig ripening is slim to none. It will mostly likely be aborted. Most people will remove it to focus energy on roots and leaves. Most people won't allow figlets to grow on cuttings(1st year growth) If you are lucky and it ripens, flavour will probably be lacking.

What I would do, remove fig. You'll have a few more figlets in about 2-3 months and I'd keep 1-2 of those and remove the others that will grow throughout Summer (this is when you'll see many figlets but unfortunately, most won't ripen in time since it's a first year cutting)

Hopefully by the end of Summer, you'll get to sample a fig, see if it's true to type and if you like the flavour.

That cutting looks good and pretty strong to handle one fig.

I would leave it on, give it a chance, in worst case scenario that treelet will aboard it.
