Are your plants in the ground or in pots? Florikan is an excellent fertilizer to use in our sandy soils that hold few nutrients. One helpful aspect of living in Florida is that we usually get a lot of rain, which contains a highly usable form of nitrogen.

If you wish to add more nitrogen there are many ways to do, but I suggest using an organic product. Alfalfa pellets are an excellent source of nitrogen and when watered into the soil they also create nitrogen-fixing bacteria soil that greatly help the plants utilize nitrogen.

There are, of course, many sources of organic nitrogen that you can use. Espoma has a number of organic fertilizers that are specific for certain types of plants.
