It pouring and gloom & doom here today. Got soaked just going out to feed chickens this morning. One of the coops started leaking on the roof where a big tree limb fell on it. So had fun cleaning that mess up -Not! This year has been backwards. Dry summer, wet winter. I dont know which is worse, normal or backwards lol.

Sultry, the rain nearly ruined my son's visit. We managed to find indoor things to do, and we walked around Alachua in the misting rain with umbrellas, but my yard looks horrid. I'm with you -- I don't know which is worse. The ungodly heat of early fall didn't help at all. My garden was so stressed, but this rain is helping it cheer up a bit.

Sorry the stupid rain had to almost ruin everything but I am glad you got to visit with your son during the holidays. My yard is horrid too right now. It badly needs weeding in the flowerbeds. I am thinking of getting cardboard and mulch down before the heat sets in again this spring. I dont want to have to deal with stinging nettles in my flowerbeds again come spring lol.
